Geoff
- Geoff first approached us during 2010 and has not looked back
since. Geoff likes to fish the smaller, mature waters which often
contain the prettier specimen fish. He is not a full time angler
but a family man who has a demanding day job and fits his fishing
into any spare time he has left. What sets geoff apart form a lot
of todays anglers is his eye for detail and the knowledge that bait
is not the only part to successful fishing. Present a good bait
such as the the V-12, geoffs prefered choice, then add a perfectly
presented rig and you will have success.
Geoff has a lot of sound advice to offer and one of his little jems
is the 'Dinner Plate Theory' This theory just about sums up the
way geoff approaches his carp fishing. Geoff says:" you could
have the best meal in the world presented in front of you, put it
on a dirty, messy plate and you would not touch it, take the same
meal and present it on a clean plate and you will readily eat every
crumb. This explains my dinner plate theory, present a good bait
on a poorly tied rig and it will not hook the fish, present the
same bait on a decent rig with good hooking potential and you will
see your catch rates increase. It is all about presentation, too
many anglers prefer to just stick a readymade shelf-life boilie
on a standard rig and wonder why they dont catch". Geoff also
says: " Having a decent freezer bait which the carp can reccognise
as a quality food source will get you fish in the swim, the rig
will increase your chances ofgetting the fish on the bank"
Geoff will be a valued member of the team and will be sharing some
of his knowledge of rigs and bait presentation in the very near
future.

Nige
- 2008 Nige approached us to find out about a new bait he had heard
of which was something quite different from the usual baits he had
used before, the bait in question was the Supreme. Nige was given
a detailed report on the Supremes design and ingredient profile
and then confidently went out to fish a whole season on a well known
and extremely difficult outh East Essex venue. During 2009 Nige
really put the supreme through its paces and reported back every
single little detail. The end result was, after a few tweaks to
the supreme boilie, Top Rod for Nige as he not only landed the heaviest
fish of the season but also landed the most fish. Nige continues
to trial new offerings and is key to the product development of
CW Baits.
Nige has also been keeping a Blog of his fishing over the past few
years which makes a great entertaining read. Take a look by clicking
here, it is well worth checking on a weekly basis.

Steve AKA Macca
- Macca has been with us pretty much from the start when we first
formed CW Baits. He has a wealth of angling related knowledge which
covers most areas of fishing and not just carp. He has numerous
big fish captures under his belt and continues to search for those
illusive big fish in and around Norfolk. A valued member of the
the team who cooks a wicked bacon sandwich on the coleman!

Mark
- Mark is our resident catfish man, residing on Waveney Valley where
he continues to dominate catches of 40lb plus catfish on a regular
basis. Mark is not only just a fan of the catcatcher range of boilies
but also puts a great deal of effort into putting all the other
baits to the test. Although Mark spends a lot of time in search
of catfish by the amount of big carp he catches we think he should
move away from the cats and concentrate his efforts for the carp!
Many
more
- over the years CW Baits has had numerous anglers sign up to become
a bait tester, all of your feedback has been very much appreciated
and has helped to push our bait forward. We now have our Top Rod
bait tester team in place and we look forward to 2011 and pushing
our high grade boilies wider and wider across the carp fishing scene.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken on the role of a bait
tester and wish you all the best of luck for the future.
